For X-Ray Microscopes, a very small radius of curvature is required at glancing angles to allow focusing. In order to allow flexibility of design curvatures and better, tunable focusing with a large mirror, I designed a mirror bender after a similar one in the literature. This was at the very end of my graduate studies and preliminary testing showed reasonable results, with a key challenge being the method and material used to glue the mirror substrate to the bending arms.
